Some of you already know that Anton (most of you know him as Crow) is a big believer in giving praise where praise is due.
Last year Crow wrote a reflections post on his birthday, and since he is on his mini-break we thought it would be a good opportunity to continue the tradition and celebrate him on his special day, which is today (August 30).
For many of us, Nevermore came at a time when we desperately needed it most. With Crow at the helm, Nevermore started as a multimedia project with the goal of opening up conversations around authoritarianism in the name of public health, and it has since evolved into something greater. Now in 2023, we are resisting the ‘New Normal’ of tech dystopia, transhumanism, and the tyranny of the biosecurity state.
With this project, Crow has unified a wonderfully diverse set of critical thinkers from around the world who all share this same common goal.
Crow’s writing style is raw, authentic, and prescient. He’s critically minded and well-read. He’s also an agitator. He does this purposely so people will challenge him and to open up the floor for more honest, authentic conversations. While sometimes he may offend people in the process of doing so, he does it for a reason. At the same time, Crow has a special knack for elevating and praising those around him, and he brings a certain sincerity and earnestness in his interactions that is not often seen today. He’s fiercely loyal and is always supportive. A rare quality, to be sure.
Crow is also open to criticism and will never fault you for bringing up difficult topics (I should know — I challenge him a lot!). When it comes to Nevermore, he has proven to be a visionary — and he often has a million things going through his mind at any given time. While his strength is his vision, his weakness can sometimes be focus (and that’s where the rest of us come in — to help reel him in and bring him back to the present).
Crow is full of contradictions and he knows it: he’s both self-deprecating and arrogant. He’s confident but self-questioning. He’s a dreamer and a realist. He is also a contrarian. And he brings all of these idiosyncrasies into his work.
He also has a way of giving validation that softens even the most hardened of us. Some might think he has delusions of grandeur, but really these feelings come from his passion and his faith in the work he’s doing. He’s also been burned a lot, and he carries with him a sense of caution, but overall, his vulnerability always ends up shining through.
These are just some of the things we admire about Crow.
Through his writing, you get a glimpse into how his mind works, however fallible it may be. His compulsion to write may sometimes be detrimental to him, but it is no less admirable.
Happy birthday, Anton — our chaotic, passionate, tireless fighter for truth.
Never stop writing.
“Crow invited me on board the Nevermore project shortly after Paul Cudenec put us into contact during the middle of the “pandemic.” We’ve corresponded since then and I’ve been impressed by Crow’s critical yet open minded approach to new ideas and controversial topics. Crow has seen through rot that’s crept into what was the ideological camp he associated with, all the while maintaining a critical view of other ideologies and avoiding knee jerk reactions; these are ideal attributes for someone pulling together a diverse range of writers and activists as Crow has done for Nevermore.”

“To one of the best humans on the planet projecting into material existence and broadcasting that anti establishment freedom vibration that will disintegrate the rigid structures of control of our globalist lizard system I say Happy Birthday to you. May you acquire the wisdom and fortitude to battle for another year to awaken and uplift the human race through truth, laughter, and leadership. Show others how to live it. We’ll be right there with you. Cheers!”

“Many happy returns, Crow, and may the next 12 months see you realising your unbounded potential to inspire and mobilise. There is nothing more powerful than an anarchist whose time has come!”

“It’s difficult to find the words to convey my thanks to Crow for getting the Nevermore project up and running. My first contact with Crow and introduction to Nevermore was during the dark days of the lockdowns and vaccine mandates in 2020. Dark days when my now former comrades turned against me for daring to think critically and ask difficult questions about what was being done to us. Getting involved with Nevermore and finding new allies and comrades has given me hope that better days will come and that we will eventually win.”

“In my two-year Stackiversary piece, I described how I first encountered Crow via a Nevermore Media tweet about my fairy tale, The Vapor, the Hot Hat, & the Witches’ Potion: A Fairy Story, in which he wrote:
“Yo, this is an absolutely amazing fairy tale allegory of the COVID pseudopandemic. Mad love to the weaver of this wonderful tale, Margaret Anna Alice.”
That quote would later grace the cover of the paperback version and lead to my becoming a contributor at Nevermore Media. I have Crow to thank for introducing me to a diverse range of iconoclastic thinkers from around the world, and we frequently exchange ideas, recommendations, and resources in our truth-seeking efforts.
Crow not only has stellar taste in writers but uses his extensive experience with on-the-ground organizing to bring disparate voices together in a harmonious mission, hence the birth of Nevermore.
He is also humble enough to course-correct when needed and graciously welcomes constructive criticism. As I told him when he bravely announced that he was starting the twelve-step program:
“You are a lucky man if you can understand your internal weakness.” — Kung Fu
I wish Crow a joyful birthday but, more importantly, I wish him strength and persistence as he embarks on his journey toward wellness and independence in this latest chapter of his life.”

I can attest to everything here that was said about Crow, and thanks for saying it all so well. It makes that feeling of gratitude and awe well up in me that I've so often felt in conversations with him or in reading his highly personal posts.
Crow, my brother, thanks for letting your light shine!
Happy birthday from me too! Even though I am a new reader, Crow sounds like exactly the person who is needed so much today and of whom the world would need more of!
