I can attest to everything here that was said about Crow, and thanks for saying it all so well. It makes that feeling of gratitude and awe well up in me that I've so often felt in conversations with him or in reading his highly personal posts.
Crow, my brother, thanks for letting your light shine!
Thank you! I'm sending just one message to everyone, even though I'd like to thank everyone individually, because I worked a 14 hour shift fighting fire today, and worked 13 hours the day before. Tomorrow I need to get up at 5:30 and repeat, and it will be another 10 days before I get a day off... But this is what I wanted, because as most of you know, I'm planning to get married this Winter and I need to save up money to do so. This job is really perfect for me - not only does it play to my strengths, and not only am I working with two good friends of mine, not only is this a great way to save money because I'm not paying for food or for rent, not only do I not have to cook and clean while I'm here, but it's also a great place to avoid all temptation to drink alcohol or use drugs... My recovery is going well, I'm happy to report, and the next time I make it to a meeting I will get my 1 month tag. I'm managed to make a hard turn and I'm not going to lie - It feels great! I feel tremendously blessed to have such amazing friends and whatever mistakes I might make along the way, I must be doing something right!
Happy birthday from me too! Even though I am a new reader, Crow sounds like exactly the person who is needed so much today and of whom the world would need more of!

I was trying to remember who Crow was.. I tend to think of him as Raven... Yanno, Raven Nevermore. The raven that cried "Never more, never more."
Happy Birthday Crow!
