“In the last analysis, the essential thing is the life of the individual. This alone makes history, here alone do the great transformations take place, and the whole future, the whole history of the world, ultimately springs as a gigantic summation from this hidden source in individuals.”

“Democracy” is a sacred cow in political discourse, unquestioned as a form of government that promises fairness, equality, justice for all.

It is important to note here, that Democracy means Mob Rule, where the majority can dump on the minority.

Republics, such as how the United States started out, as well as the Republic of Texas, California, Florida, the original thirteen colonies, etc. gave power to the minorities, through equal representation.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that even if you are a republic, but you have megacities, or cities of over 500k, you'll descend into a democracy and you'll turn Marxist. Power, as they say, corrupts and absolute power, absolutely.

I also think that the 5g/nanobot project will last until the first great Coronal Mass Ejection, such as the Carrington effect, which will fry the tech.

Good essay, thanks.

Some points to disagree with from the Voluntaryist perspective; one being the conflating of populism with anarchism/voluntaryism.

The essence: Claim your own Authority, let no gods or governments rule you; become responsible for your freedom.
