I always vote. Sometimes more than once. I may vote in this election though I live in the states. I think the classic Chicago philosophy may be the exact opposite of anarchism. Vote early and vote often. I’m sure I’ll be voting long after I’m dead, but somehow I’ll get my little ‘I voted today’ sticker and wear it all day.

I have recently started watching/listening to a series on the history of democratisation that I highly recommend. It includes political and economic theory and illustrates very well: without democracy, there could be no Total War. Democracy was a good idea for a small number of people, but fails on a larger scale. The system is set up so no one is ever held accountable. Nothing ever happens no matter who you vote for. And you get to blame the people by giving them the illusion that they have any power.

Been on the fence. Bernier was my protest vote. But i hate the system. Ignore it and it dies. If everyone did so, that is. My hope is it collapses under its own stupidity. So i think i will not vote. I am free and will not be indoctrinated through fear to participate in something i do not need. Thank you for the post!!

I've been involved in all the parties, but now I don't vote. Has Nevermore considered the original Kaianere'kowa Great-good-way-of-kindness aka 'Great-Law-of-Peace aka Constitution of the ~110 Nations joined into ~25 Confederacies across Turtle-Island (N. America). Indigenous (Latin 'self-generating') is the only sovereign empowerment of individuals & our collective entities. healthy, prosperous, people & nature (biosphere & physics) aligned Bottom-up system. RE-INDIGENIZING AS 'REAL-PEOPLE' (meaning of Mohawk 'Onkwehon'we', Algonquian 'Anishinaabe' Inuit & many more 1st Nation peoples) There’s still only one humane 'indigenous' (L. 'self-generating') Sovereignty on Turtle-Island/North-America, which is of the ~110 1st Nations joined together in ~25 Confederacies. The 5 Nation 'Kaianere'kowa' (Iroquois = 'Great-good-way-of-kindness') as the Great-Law-of-Peace & 'Constitution' is described in the once worldwide indigenous CIRCLE-of-LIFE. In Central America the Maya refer to Kindness as 'In Lakesh' (I am another you. You are another me.). In the Amazon, Aymara, Jamamadi, Apurina nations refer to Kindness as Maloka = 'Longhouse', Indigenous Celtic-Slavic Europe refer to the 'System of 100s' for their longhouse & other housing economies. In southern Africa, Nguni people refer to 'Ubuntu' meaning 'Human Kindness'. Eastern Europe Serbs & Croatians refer to 'Zadruga' meaning 'economy of friends', India as 'Swadeshi' (Hindi ‘indigenous’ aka ‘self-sufficiency’), China's character for 'money' refers to the ancient indigenous 'Bei' or 'Cowrie Shell', Korea as 'Chaebol' & Japan as 'Keiretsu' referring to 'Family Economy'. The real foundation of 'Democracy' (Greek 'Power-of-the-people') has always been 'Economic' (Gk 'oikos' = 'home' + 'namein' = 'care-&-nurture'). 'INDIGENOUS' (Latin 'self-generating') ECONOMIC-DEMOCRACY for 10s of 1000s of years has subset 'political' (L. 'poly' = 'many' + 'tics' = 'workings-of') systems. Economic Democracy in the ~100 (50-150) person Multihome-Dwelling-Complex (eg. Longhouse-apartment, Pueblo-townhouse & Kanata-village), Domestic (mostly women) or Commercial & Industrial (mostly men) specialized universal progressive ownership of Production-Society-Guilds & time-based equivalency-accounting on the String-shell Value System (eg. Wampum on Turtle-Island, Quipu in S. America & Cowrie in indigenous Celtic-Slavic Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia & all islands) recognized the contributions, experience, expertise & decision-making acumen of all contributors. Colonial empire fake 'money' (Gk 'mnemosis' = 'memory') amnesic Oligarch directed political & government charade is designed to be very expensive, so always in debt to hidden money changers. Staff, offices, equipment, advertising, networking for both 'S'elections & government always leave politicians, parties & governments in large debts, hence captured & controlled. The US 'Half-baked' Constitution written by Slave-owning, landed men in every Article has gaps, which enable fake money control. Oligarchs financed the shipping, invasion, occupation & genocide of 1st Nations in the Americas in order to establish levels of wealth not possible still in the Europe & other colonies they had led into perpetual war & ecological destruction. Most Settlers (except ancestors Half-blood, Metis & Mestizos) having had their own memory of our common 'indigenous ancestry, of RELATIONAL-ECONOMY colluded with the import & violent imposition of a disastrous failed Oligarch control system. Isn't it time we have an honest evaluation of where we are? Https://sites.google.com/site/indigenecommunity/c-relational-economy

I go into the voting booth with the thought that my vote can cancel out some moron's idea of globalism, just as his can cancel out my liberties.

The problem is nobody's vote truly cancels out anyone else's vote. Every vote is consent to a system that routinely offers the public the choice between the lesser of two evils. Consequently you and the person whose vote you are seeking to cancel out end up supporting a process that buys evil in increments.

so many re-stackable points!

Gov in its essence was to protect its peoples, boarders and diplomacy to other nations.

Now its a 'tyranny'osaurus with a longer reach, let it go extinct.. fuck em, dont need them therefore i've never voted.
