MATTHEW EHRET & CYNTHIA CHUNG ARE CONTROLLED OPPOSITION
Why I'm calling Shenanigans on the Canadian Patriot Review
To whom it may concern,
For many of us, it has long been an open secret that Matthew Ehret and his wife Cynthia Chung are controlled opposition, but recent events have convinced me that there is a need to broadcast this news more widely.
As of today, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, I am formally instigating proceeding of shenanigans against the Canadian Patriot Review.
That’s right. I’m calling shenanigans.
Why, you ask? Well, the immediate cause is this abomination:
In it, the patriotic Canadian Cynthia Chung poo-poos the idea that the CCP might have anything to do with the fentanyl crisis that has claimed the lives of so many Canadians and Americans.
Now, to be fair, there is blame to go around when it comes to the opiate crisis - from drug companies such as Purdue Pharmaceutical to sleazy lawyers such as Rudy Giuliani to promoters of the horrible, half-baked idea of “harm reduction”, such as CBC darling Gabor Mate.
But anyone who denies that Chinese crime syndicates are major players in the fentanyl game have not studied the issue for more than about ten minutes. It’s a fact.
Furthermore, Canadian investigation journalist Sam Cooper has proven that those Chinese criminal organization have ties to the Chinese Communist Party, and that the Big Circle Boys essentially answer to the CCP. Power is power, folks. This shouldn’t be that surprising.
I used to live on the street in Vancouver, and I am intimately familiar with the Downtown Eastside.
But really, I was meaning to get around to leading the charge against Matthew Ehret at some point. I’ve already written four articles accusing the Canadian Patriot Review of being spooks, but that was almost two years ago now.
At the time, my thesis was widely accepted by the people who actually looked into it, such as Whitney Webb and Riley Waggaman.
It is worth noting that Unlimited Hangout has not published anything by Matthew Ehret since November 2022, shortly before I blew the whistle.
At the time, though, my readership was much smaller than it is now, and it does not seem to be common knowledge that the Canadian Patriot Review is an intelligence op.
So let’s try this again, why don’t we? It’s quite clear that not everyone has gotten the memo about the truth movement’s favourite patriotic Canadians.
If anyone is in any doubt as to whether or not the CCP is involved in fentanyl trafficking in North America, one need look no further than the work of Sam Cooper. This prevarication has been going on too long. I’m sick of this silliness, and these shenanigans will not stand!!!

Crow Qu’appelle
Patriots or Traitors? A critical look at the Canadian Patriot Review
Why are Matthew Ehret and Cynthia Chung shilling for the CCP?
by Crow Qu’appelle, January 2023
Back in the depths of COVID, some feeble-minded pro-com accused Nevermore of supporting ¨crypto-eugenics¨ for writing a piece calling for anarchists to oppose lockdowns.
Their argument was that if people didn´t obey the government by masking, hiding inside, and wiping everything down with Lysol every 15 minutes, then the frail and feeble might die. Apparently nature is the ultimate eugenicist. Who knew?
(If anyone`s interested, I wrote a response to this accusation entitled You Can`t Be Anti-State and Pro-Lockdown, which I think has aged well.)
I didn´t think that the absurdity of the ¨crypto-eugenics¨ accusation could be topped, but Matthew Ehret has proved me wrong. He has accused my comrades and I of ¨eco-colonialism¨ for opposing the Coastal Gaslink pipeline on Wet´suwet´en territory in Northern B.C.
What is eco-colonialism? Who knows? Ehret doesn´t define the term. What he seems to be suggesting is that the indigenous people who have been fighting to defend their land against unwanted industrialization are all the dupes of globalist puppeteers… or something. It´s not at all clear what precisely he means.
In a recent article, he wrote:
As seen across all of North America during the past decades, First Nations tribes have been manipulated and deployed like pawns on a chess board to block, disrupt all forms of real economic development ranging from pipelines, railways, and energy projects.
Oh, really? That´s a pretty big fucking claim you´re making there, bud. You care to back that up? Manipulated and deployed by whom, pray tell?
Let`s follow that link. Doing so brings us to a 2020 article entitled Indigenous Communities Revolt Against Eco-Colonialists: Trudeau Crumbles Under His Own Liberalism, which honestly deserves a nomination for the Corbett Report`s Fake News Awards.
In neither in these articles does Ehret bother to clarify what he means by ¨eco-colonialism¨ or explain who is manipulating the protesters. He just flings a bunch of slanderous accusations around without feeling the need to prove anything. It´s truly shocking to me to see such sloppy drivel coming from the same person who wrote ¨Revenge of the the Malthusians.¨ How is one to take anything he says seriously when he is guilty of such egregious journalistic malpractice?
The article is a crash course in Canadian-style racism, which usually cloaks itself in fake-nice garb, in which people pretend that by pursuing their own interests, they are helping disadvantaged communities. After talking briefly about CGL, he slides on to ¨problems of underdevelopment, and drug/unemployment and suicide epidemics among natives¨.
Wait, what? I thought we were talking about extractivism. What just happened?
Next, under the heading So what do actual natives say about this project?, he goes on to share this gem:
Troy Young, a Wet’suet’en youth leader has stated “if the environmentalists are successful, it will be one of the biggest cultural appropriation in British Columbia’s history.”
Nice! Weaponizing woke ideology to undermine your opposition! It`s nice to know that Ehret isn`t shy to deploy such woke propaganda tropes as ¨cultural appropriation¨ when it happens to be convenient for him. Use what works, right?
But okay, I`ll bite. Who is Troy Young? Is he being paid by CGL to speak in favour of the project? Ehret obviously doesn`t care. Young is an indigenous person who supports his point of view, and that`s good enough for him. I guess all the native people who have been fighting unwanted industrialization aren´t actually native people. Good thing we´ve got an expert such as Ehret to clear things up for us.
But wait! A quick Google search turns up this article, which states:
Young, a Wet’suwet’en member and general manager of Kyah Resources Inc., is one of several primary contractors completing clearing and road-building work for the 670-kilometre underground gas pipeline being built to service the LNG Canada plant under construction in Kitimat.
This is Troy Young, by the way:
Looks a bit old to be described as a youth, but age is just a number, right? Maybe he`s young at heart. I mean, his last name is Young, so maybe that`s what confused our intrepid, truth-seeking ¨Canadian Patriot¨.
But what, there`s more!
First Nations councilor Karen Ogen Toews who also co-created the First Nations LNG Alliance stated “if our people are living in poverty then the way to overcome it is through proper training, trades education and a job. My conscience is clear.”
He doesn´t bother mentioning who she co-created said group with. Anyone want to take a wild stab in the dark about who is financing this pro-pipeline group?
Ehret then goes on to rattle off a bunch of depressing statistics about the suicide epidemic in indigenous communities (without citing their source), before saying:
These dismal statistics are not caused by any “genetic inferiority of the native people” as some racist commentators have asserted over the years, but rather are the effects of a deep cultural victimisation caused by generations living under British Colonial social engineering.
Thanks for clearing that up for us, bud! It´s nice to know you don´t think native people are genetically inferior. They´re just easily manipulable pawns suffering from an epidemic of ¨underdevelopment¨. Everything makes sense now!
Anyway, there is so much wrong with this piece that I could go on and on. There is no shortage of factual errors, no understanding of the traditional Wet`suwet`en governance system, and no mention of the fact that the aboriginal title of the Wet`suwet`en people to the land in question has been recognized by the Supreme Court of Canada, making Canada`s actions illegal under its own law.
Given the fact that I have been involved in the anti-pipeline movement for over 10 years, I would be in a position to set the record straight about Ehret`s many errors, but honestly, doing so would make this article so long that most people wouldn`t bother reading it.
So rather than doing so, I`ll include a few videos for people who wish to educate themselves about this issue.
Anyway, things only get weirder throughout the ¨Eco-Colonialists¨ article, which jumps around all over the place, and ends by arguing in favour of China`s Belt and Road Initiative, complete with this handy-dandy infographic.
So, at this point, I`m asking myself: What in the hell is the deal with the Canadian Patriot Review?
I came across the work of Matthew Ehret through Whitney Webb`s Unlimited Hangout podcast. I am a huge fan of Whitney Webb, and anyone she brings on her show instantly rises in my estimation.
So, I started following him and was very impressed by some of his content. In particular, I liked Revenge of the Malthusians and The Rhodes Scholars Guiding the Biden Presidency. I also liked the five-part series Does Life or Death Govern the Universe?, which takes a much-needed look of the history of science, and how atheism and materialism were promoted by British aristocrats to serve a certain political agenda.
I was dismayed, then, when Matthew Ehret`s wife Cynthia Chung, who is his main collaborator, appeared on the Geopolitics and Empire podcast spouting a bunch of kooky nonsense about how anarchists, by opposing nation-states, are guilty of ushering in a one-world government. Weird.
Clearly, she has an axe to grind with anarchists. She can`t even pronounce the word ¨anarchist¨ without betraying the utter contempt with which she regards us. What gives, Cynthia? What did anarchists ever do to you?
She basically accuses 20th century anarchists such as Otto Gross of being in league both with the Theosophical Society and Aleister Crowley. She also tars Hermann Hesse, Carl Jung, and others with the same brush. It`s truly breath-taking. How insane do you have to be to accuse Hesse, one of the greatest moralists in the history of literature, of being in league with the Devil?
It really does have to be heard to be believed. I`ve included the video below. The whole thing is worth listening to, but you can jump ahead to 26:00 if you`re pressed for time.
Regardless, I kept following both Ehret and Chung. I don`t have to agree with people on everything in order to think that they`re worth listening to.
Upon learning that the Canadian Patriot Review is willing to unabashedly spread misinformation (in the true sense of that word), I decided to have a look-see on their website to figure out what these patriotic Canadians are all about.
So, I headed on over to their website and was immediately greeted by the following banner ad.
If you have a click on that banner ad, you`ll be treated to such hard-hitting questions as:
Is there truly a “Uyghur muslim genocide” in Xinjiang as western governments have proclaimed?
Is Taiwan a tool of the US military industrial complex? What is the “Hong Kong” freedom movement? And where does Tibet fit into this?
The page also includes this blurb:
In this special report, Matt Ehret and Cynthia Chung debunk the many leading myths about China as “the center command of world evil” and explore the inner fights waged between Chinese patriots in opposition to fifth column traitors that have worked tirelessly on behalf of foreign oligarchical interests to subvert China from within since the dark days of the Opium Wars.
Okay, fine. I haven`t read the book, and maybe there`s something to this. But I thought that they were Canadian patriots. What´s all this about Chinese patriots? They know Canada and China are two different countries, right? Also, why are they so interested in whitewashing the atrocities of the CCP?
Anyway, no way I`m giving these fuckers a dime, so let`s see what information we can glean from their website for free. Why don`t we click on the tab entitled ¨Mission¨?
Oh, here we go, this is interesting. The first paragraph reads:
Mankind is at a crossroads defined by two opposing paradigms. Either continue to hold onto the traditions of oligarchism which has defined our struggle for existence based upon a rule of the jungle “each against all” outlook for far too long…
Hmm… What does that remind me of? Didn´t George Bush say something a lot like that once? Oh yeah, he did. Here we are:
We have before us the opportunity to forge for ourselves and for future generations a new world order, a world where the rule of law, not the law of the jungle, governs the conduct of nations.
Wow. Weird. Must be a coincidence. I´ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Let´s see what the next paragraph says.
With the emergence of China’s New Silk Road (One Belt and One Road Initiative) as a force for global progress, poverty eradication, and peace, Canada has been confronted with an existential choice: Either continue to abide by the rule of monetarism, post-industrialism and war which have become signature features of the Anglo-American system dominant since World War two and run through the City of London and Wall Street, or embark upon a new mission of “win-win cooperation”, respect for the sovereignty of each nation while working in harmony with a community of share interest vectored around long term goals, great infrastructure programs and scientific discovery. This latter system is empowered by the force of new institutions such as the BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Eurasian Economic Union. New credit generating institutions have been created to advance the expanded New Silk Road vision have come online such as the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the New Development Bank and the Silk Road Investment Fund to name a few.
Oh, nice! Banks are going to let us win while they win. Sweet! Wait, what was that about an existential choice? Is that a threat? And what was that about war? But ¨respect for the sovereignty of each nation¨? That sounds good! Does that include Wet`suwet`en sovereignty?
Not sure about that next part though: ¨working in harmony with a community of share interest vectored around long term goals, great infrastructure programs and scientific discovery.¨ That kind of reads like machine-translated PR-speak for stakeholder capitalism, doesn`t it? Is the Canadian Patriot Review promoting technocracy?
They go on:
The Canadian Patriot is both a geopolitical journal and a platform for a broader discussion about Canada’s role as a sovereign participant within this harmony of nations which is now emerging.
It´s not a technate, it´s a harmony of nations! Who doesn´t like harmony?
(For those who aren´t familiar with the word technate or the ideology of technocracy, I highly recommend checking out the work of Patrick Wood, especially his excellent book Technocracy Rising, as well as his website Technocracy News. I also recommend Whitney Webb´s recent interview of Patrick Wood, which will give you the Cole´s notes.)
Ehret and Chung go on to talk glowingly about how ¨As Canada increasingly becomes a part of the New Silk Road process¨, that everything will gloriously shiny and wonderful forever and ever.
Hey, wait a second… didn´t you say that we had a choice? You`re kinda presenting this as a done deal. What if Canadians don`t want to be a part of a massive industrialization campaign? Is that cool with you? Are we allowed to say no?
A clearer picture emerges when you scroll to the bottom of the page and see the following images:
Wow. Does Whitney Webb know about this? Because it sure looks to me like this is a plan for a global technate. Click on the link for Canada’s Potential Eurasian Future: A Vision for the 21st Century and Beyond and what´s the first thing you see?
It then goes on about how Canada must open up the North to resource development ¨as an alternative to war¨. I shit you not. It then goes on to talk about building a high-speed train linking Europe and North America across the Bering Strait. Again, I shit you not. These numbskulls want to build a train across the Arctic ocean.
55 miles! Piece of cake. Can´t see a problem with that. As the article says:
It is an undeniable fact that China is currently leading the world in large scale megaprojects.
Oh thank God! I thought Canadians were going to have to do it. Would have been hard, what with the massive current labour shortage in Canada and all. Thank goodness the totalitarian government of China is willing to lend a hand. A friend in need is a friend indeed!
Let`s see, what`s next?
The Alaska-Canada rail connector, with the construction of a development corridor extending 80 km on each side of the railroad, can transform the region in its entirety. Power lines, fiber-optic lines, and where necessary, freshwater pipes would be encased within the corridor. Cities, population, manufacturing, and scientific agriculture would be fertilized and harvested in this corridor as well. The Arctic North’s nearby abundant, but largely untapped, mineral and raw material resources would be made accessible, by rail link, out of the frigid ground for rational use in the Arctic North and the world.
Those pesky resources! Why are they hiding under the frigid ground? Why do they have to be so dang irrational? Ah well, these patriotic Canadians have the solution. All we need to do is ¨transform the region in its entirety.¨ That doesn´t sound like a hostile takeover at all, and I´m sure the inhabitants of Arctic will welcome the change. They´re probably bored of their homeland being theirs. Nothing like a friendly little invasion to spice life up a bit.
Oh, man, there`s enough Canadian patriotism here to give Don Cherry a boner. Oh, Canada, we stand on guard for thee!
But if you thought that was all, nope. They also want an Alaska to Alberta Railway, which apparently Trump allocated 17 billion dollars for.
A2A CEO Sean McCoshen emphasized this point saying: “This is a world-class infrastructure project that will generate more than 18,000 jobs for Canadian workers at a time when they are most needed, provide a new, more efficient route for trans-Pacific shipping and thereby link Alberta to world markets.”
Um… Did anyone tell him about the massive labour shortage? We´ll pass on the jobs, thanks. We´re good.
Okay, what else? Oh yeah, they want to build a domed city in the Arctic. Sick! Maybe we can build it near Superman´s Fortress of Solitude! Do say more!
This model “city of the future” echoes back to the planned domed city of Frobisher Bay, Nunavut which Prime Minister John Diefenbaker had committed to build as an integral component of his 1958 “Northern Vision” campaign. Frobisher Bay’s design as produced by the Department of Public Works announced a domed city, encircled by 12 large towers housing 4500 workers and families connected by an underground network of tunnels. In order to ensure that this city were truly one of the future, recreation facilities, shopping centers and other amenities were included to ensure that the comfort of Toronto would be something accessible even in the Arctic.
Ah, lame, it looks like this:
As the presentation explains:
True nation building must begin with the most underdeveloped region as the driver (the Arctic), which will then permit the mobilization of resources in order to “leapfrog” older technologies towards the cutting edge high energy flux density
Aw, sick! Cutting edge high energy flux density. Now we´re talking! Have I told you about my idea of replacing money with blotter paper? Oh. It´s just another machine-translated propaganda term, isn´t it? Shucks. You almost had me there for a second.
Well, I gotta admit, I like this idea better than the other ones. Living in a dome in the Arctic seems like it would be fun. You could make love under the Northern Lights and not freeze your ass off. But do we need to make this about resources? Can´t we just do it for the hell of it? Think about it - wouldn´t it fun to feel like you´re living in a snow globe for awhile?
(Sorry, just had to get that off that my chest. I don´t want the people of the future to think I´m an anti-domer.)
But it gets worse. They want to steal our water. Or maybe I shouldn´t put it like that. You can´t own water. Rather, they want to have us share massive quantities of water, which they will helpfully remove for the benefit of all. What could possible go wrong?
The Canadian Patriot Review wants to create a North American Water and Power Alliance.
The title “NAWAPA” refers to the proposal for a North American Water and Power Alliance, to bring water that flows from the rivers of Alaska and Canada into the sea, southward into the Canadian Prairies providing agriculture, power projects, shipping and also a cleaning of the polluted Great Lakes. It also would bring water to the driest areas of the United States and Mexico. Originally drafted in 1964, NAWAPA was never built, for political reasons. But with the scorching droughts of recent years, it is more urgent than ever.
They go on to say:
Under the 1964 feasibility studies conducted by the Parsons engineers and displayed in a 15 minute 1964 promotional video, this continental water project would involved the construction of 95 dams, 8 lifts, 39 major tunnels, and 4515 miles (7266 km) of canals in order to collect and move between 10-20% of the fresh water runoff from Northern Alaska and Canada down into the Southwestern USA and North Mexico. Under this design and amplified by studies conducted over the ensuing 50 years, a second circuit would take 19 million acre feet of water/year from the Peace River dam in North BC through the Canadian prairies and into Lake Superior both cleaning out and replenishing the depleted polluted lakes.
If you don´t have an intimate knowledge of Canadian geography, I couldn´t possibly explain to you how insane this is. Suffice it to say that anyone that thinks this is feasible has shit for brains, and anyone that thinks that doing so would be a good idea if it were possible has puked-up shit for brains.
They want a nuclear renaissance, too, for some reason. I could go on, but you get the idea. If you want a laundry list of terrible technocratic ideas, feel free to check out their website.
So, where does this leave us?
I´m just going to come out and say it: this looks a hell of a lot like Matthew Ehret and Cynthia Chung are in the pay of Chinese intelligence. Indeed, knowing what I now know, it´s hard for me to believe that they are held in high esteem by people such as Whitney Webb. Hopefully they won´t be for much longer.
Althought they seem to bring a lot of interesting information to the table, they appear to have ulterior motives, so I would advise people to take what they have to say with a grain of salt. Whether or not they are agents of the CCP, they are definitely willing to lie and misrepresent things, and they always seem to be pushing a pro-CCP line.
On a more subtle level, there appears to be a very profound a misunderstanding of Canadian culture, and the wishes of the Canadians, to say nothing to the indigenous people about whom Ehret and Chung obviously couldn´t give two fucks. People don´t want a massive industrialization campaign.
But hey, no problem! We´ve a choice. Not only that, but the best kind of choice: an existential choice. I´m going to read between the lines here and guess that they mean submit or perish, but hey, I´m a diagnosed schizophrenic who believes in leprechauns. Who cares what I think?
Furthermore, for those of you who are anarchists, it´s worth mentioning that Ehret and Chung are hardcore statists. Ehret literally wrote a book called In Defense of Manifest Destiny (weirdly, this patriotic Canadian doesn´t even spell like a Canadian).
They end their technophilic jerk-off session with the following image:
Wait, what? Thomas Keefer? You mean, like Nevermore co-founder Tom Keefer? Do you think that.. nooo… It couldn´t be. Could it?
I'm not a warmonger, however, Matthew and Cynthia are definitely mouthpieces for the Chinese government and the transnational spook network.
This is pretty good
https://www.rokfin.com/post/80978/Panel-Russia--the-Great-Reset--Resistance-or-Complicity At around 1:01-1:11 he gets really wierd and you can almost hear the sound of Xi's balls slap against his face over and over. But the whole thing and the way he reacts to being "confronted" with his "one technocracy and dictatorship is good but the other is bad because the one is founded on good principles guys" routine, and how he does things like felate the idea of belt and road etc..
